Meet Diane, our Founder

Hi, beautiful!
My name is Diane, and I'm the founder of Healing from Hair Pulling.

I created this program for you because, for more than 35 years, I looked for answers, options, and hope. My journey with chronic hair pulling was long and often lonely. I tried countless methods, therapies, and treatments, but the answer I needed always seemed just out of reach!

Through it all, one thing became clear:
there needed to be a place where women like us could find understanding, support, and practical solutions.

That’s why I created Healing from Hair Pulling.

Here, you’ll find the resources I wish I had when I was younger. The steps you will take in this course are the same ones I used to stop pulling my hair.

I'll be here to guide you every step of the way, just like all of the narrators in our program.

Olivia, a Supportive Friend

Hi there, I'm Olivia, and I hope to be your supportive friend. Growing up, I didn’t understand why my own family wasn’t more supportive. Their lack of understanding made my struggle with hair-pulling even harder.

When I found HFHP, I discovered a second family of sisters who truly understand! Here, I met women who shared my experiences and offered the empathy and support that I had missed.

I hope you see me as a kind and helpful friend — one that listens, cares, and stands by you.

Together, we’ll build the action team you need to heal and thrive.

Lindsey, a Compassionate Peer

My name is Lindsey, and I really want to help women who have trichotillomania too. I’m in college now, but I remember in high school that a lot of girls were mean because I pulled my eyelashes and eyebrows.

Their cruelty and bullying made me feel even more isolated and ashamed.

But this program has shown me a different way. Here, we embrace each other with kindness and understanding.

I promise I’ll never be mean to you.

Instead, I’m here to offer compassion and support. At HFHP, you’ll feel accepted just as you are. Together, we’ll navigate this journey with empathy and love.

Judie, a Relationship Navigator

Hi gorgeous, my name is Judie, and as you might notice, I didn't grow up in the United States! In my family, we usually don’t discuss emotional health or problems we may be having at home.

This silence made it difficult for me to seek help and find understanding.

I’m so glad we can talk about it here!

Your kind, caring guides, like me, help address the emotional aspects of chronic hair-pulling openly and honestly. By sharing our stories, we build a place where healing can truly begin.

Let’s have the conversations that matter!
I'll always be here to help you navigate relationships and social topics.

Kayla, a Master Planner

My name is Kayla, and I discovered this community at a major point of frustration in my life. I had tried all the pills that my doctors gave me.
They didn’t work
.

My breakthrough came when I realized that healing required a more personalized approach. By creating an action plan for my specific needs, I found a better way to manage my condition.

I’ll help you develop your own action plan. We’ll identify your flare-up triggers, set realistic goals, and create an approach that works for you.

Healing is a journey, but with a clear plan, you can take control and make meaningful progress.

Sarah, a Realist

Hey friends, my name is Sarah, and I might be viewed as a realist, or someone who is very practical.

For me, healing doesn’t mean never pulling my hair again. It means knowing what to do when I have a flare-up!

This realistic approach has been crucial in managing my own hair-pulling. In this program, we focus on practical solutions that are geared to your specific needs.

Together, we’ll create a plan that empowers you to better manage
flare-ups
as you continue to heal.

Jenn, a Holistic Healer

Hi everyone, my name is Jenn, and I truly believe in the power of holistic healing. I’ve learned from personal experience that when I don’t take steps every day to manage my diet and stress, my hair-pulling often gets worse.

My journey has taught me the importance of a holistic approach to managing trichotillomania.

I’ll share insights on how to balance your lifestyle and well-being!

We’ll explore diet, stress management, and self-care practices that can help reduce your hair-pulling urges while improving the ways you enjoy life.

Christina, a Spiritual Sister

Hi beautiful soul, my name is Christina. I truly believe that healing comes from within, and connecting to your spiritual self can be a powerful way to find peace and strength on this journey.

For me, embracing spirituality was key to finding balance and healing from trichotillomania.

Now, let’s take a moment to understand the difference between spirituality and religion. While religion is often tied to specific faiths and practices, spirituality is about connecting with yourself and the world around you on a deeper level.

It’s about finding meaning, purpose, and inner peace in ways that resonate with your unique soul.

At HFHP, we embrace all faiths. Our focus is on teaching spiritual principles that can help you tap into your inner strength while encouraging you to explore your own path, with the faith or practice that feels right for you.

Whether you follow a specific religion or simply want to connect with your spiritual side, I’m here to guide and support you.

Together, we’ll explore mindfulness, meditation, and spiritual self-care techniques and activities that can support you in healing not just your body, but your heart and spirit as well.

Remember, healing is about finding what works best for you, and I’ll be with you every step of the way. Let’s grow together!
